Getting to the Root of Pain

Diagnose the cause, treat the condition.

Conditions

Lumbar Spondylosis

When the discs of the lower back become compressed from degenerative disc disease, it can lead to the development of bone spurs, giving nerves less room to pass between vertebrae.

Lumbar Degenerative Disc Disease

Disc degeneration often develops in areas of the spine that move. The lower back is especially prone to disc degeneration, as it can be subject to excessive stress and strain.

Lumbar Radiculopathy

Lumbar radiculopathy is a term for damage, irritation, or compression of nerves in the lower back. The pain related to lumbar radiculopathy is the result of a pinched or irritated nerve.

Cervical Spondylosis

When the discs that make up the neck back become compressed, bone spurs can develop. These spurs give the nerves less room to pass between the cervical vertebrae.

Cervical Degenerative Disc Disease

The cervical spine allows for a wide range of motion and is prone to disc degeneration. When degeneration occurs more rapidly than normal, the condition is called degenerative disc disease.

Cervical Radiculopathy

Cervial radiculopathy describes the damage, irritation, or compression of nerves in the neck. The pain related to cervical radiculopathy is the result of a pinched or irritated nerve.

Treatments

Medial Branch Blocks

A medial branch block is an injection used to numb pain from the medial branch nerves. Medial branch blocks are often used to determine how well other, more permanent treatments may work.

Facet Radiofrequency Neurotomy

Facet radiofrequency neurotomy is used to reduce or eliminate pain in damaged facet joints. Radio frequency energy is used to disrupt pain signals from the damaged nerve.

Transforaminal Steroid Injections

Transforaminal epidural steroid injections are injections into the epidural area of the spine. They can be used to treat pain and swelling from radiculitis, bulging discs, and spinal stenosis.

Facet Joint Injections

Facet joint injections are minimally invasive, yet highly effective in alleviating spinal pain. An X-Ray guided fluoroscopy is used to locate and treat the inflamed joint.

Epidural Steroid Injections

Epidural steroid injections can be used to treat pain in the neck, back, shoulders, and arms. Using a fluoroscope, precise injections are delivered into the epidural area of the spine.

Botox Injections

Migraine headaches cause the muscles in the head and neck to contract. Botox is injected into the affected area keeping the muscles associated with migraines from contracting.
